Selling with Williams Auctions is straight forward and hassle free. We take away all of the stress of trying to sell items privately by selling your equipment via our live auction. This means you are guaranteed a quick sale with no come back. We operate a 100% unreserved auction which means every lot is sold to the highest bidder on auction day. Our auctioneer will work each item to achieve the best possible price.
Let us take care of all of the hard work on your behalf. From the moment items are consigned to our auction and delivered to site, we take many photographs, add them to our auction catalogue which will be published on our website for potential buyers to view on the build up to auction day. We also promote items via various marketing materials which we aim to reach your potential buyers. In addition to this, we are always actively promoting on social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook.
Here at Williams Auctions, we offer competitive rates to all our sellers which makes it affordable to sell your plant, machinery and equipment via our auction.
**Please note that the seller fees are negotiable depending on the size of the consignment**
After the auction is complete, we will collect all auction proceeds and will process payments to all our sellers within 21 days.

Selling
Please get in touch with the team. You can do this by completing the ‘Contact Us’ form via our website or contact the office on 01565 740890 or info@williamsauctions.co.uk. You will be issued with a Contract to Auction form to complete and submit.
We auction machinery and equipment across all industrial verticals. Whether you are an established company, dealer or a private seller we have a customer service driven solution to help you realise the best prices for your items in our on-site auctions that are also broadcast live to online bidders globally.
Once your items have been inspected and consigned to William Auctions we can assist with transport of equipment. We will then photograph and video items to be displayed with full details on the Williams Auction website.
Our auctions are marketed in trade publications, on the internet.

We can accept deliveries at any point which is suitable with the Vendor throughout the working week and working hours. Out of hours deliveries can be accepted through special arrangements. We will issue deadlines for Stationary Stock and Rolling Stock.
All documents need to be handed into the office prior to the auction. You can either send them when the vehicle is delivered or they can be posted to our office. You must declare if no documents are available. If documents are not received in a timely manner, items will be sold without them.
Our auction site is monitored by 24-hour CCTV Surveillance and we will do all we can to keep your items safe but the responsibility remains that of the Vendor. We recommend that items remain insured until items have been sold and paid for.
Our sales are marketed online and in print media. All items will be published in our auction catalogue on the build up to the action and we use external bodies such as Machinery Trader to place auction adverts. Auction Preview booklets will also be printed and emailed to new and existing customers. We also actively promote on social media such as Instagram and Facebook.
Any consignments listed and/or in any publication and not delivered by the vendor will be subject to a surcharge of £1,000 per item or 10% of the book value of the item (whichever shall be the greater) plus VAT.
Yes. Where applicable Lots are subject to a HPI fee of £6 plus VAT. Additional checks may need to be carried out.
